Alexia María

Designing Timeless Elegance For The World

Alexia María’s journey into fashion began in Mexico, inspired by her grandmother’s talent for dressmaking. Although she initially studied finance, her passion for design led her at age 24 to launch her own luxury fashion label. Her early custom creations quickly gained popularity among family and friends, prompting her to open a boutique on Prospect Street in La Jolla—a coastal town her family frequently visited.

The La Jolla boutique became a major turning point, introducing her elegant designs to international travelers, particularly from the Middle East. Word-of-mouth acclaim drove global demand, leading to an online store launch and a second boutique in New York. While physical retail locations closed during the pandemic, the brand emerged stronger by transitioning to a direct-to-consumer online model alongside select luxury retail partners like Saks Fifth Avenue.

Today, Alexia calls La Jolla home and oversees all operations from her San Diego atelier. Staying true to slow, sustainable luxury, every gown is handcrafted made-to-order in Southern California by skilled artisans, allowing clients to customize details while avoiding mass production.

Her 2026 collection, A Year of Elegance, rejects fast-moving seasonal trends in favor of a seasonless wardrobe inspired by style icons Jackie Kennedy and Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy. The line highlights clean lines, architectural silhouettes, luxurious fabrics, and her signature bow details. Earlier this summer, she celebrated a homecoming to Prospect Street with a curated exhibition inside Archbel Homes, honoring her connection to the village where her brand began. Beyond fashion, Alexia’s core mission remains simple: ensuring every woman feels beautiful, confident, and timelessly elegant.
